Romantic Expectations... EDITED

Hi, hi readers! If you've been wondering why I've been neglecting this blog, I've actually been posting short fiction stories on this blog... and having a blast!

But! This coming Sunday is Valentines Day and I thought I'd do a blog comparing "traditional" or "cliche" romantic sentiments to my own preferences.

Please keep in mind that this is just for fun, and I'm not trying to insult anyone. If "traditional" is your kinda thing, more power to you! I often wish I was more normal in that regard. I'm just being a smartass.. I'm good at it!

  • Take me out to a fancy, romantic dinner.

Uh, quite frankly, I'd much rather go to McDonalds. The one in Trinidad is still open, ya know...

  • Tell me I'm beautiful, every single day.

Tell me how beautiful MY DOG is, and I'll love you forever.

  • I want a man who is tall, dark and handsome.
Meet my boyfriend, Sheldon. He's two-thirds of the way there!

  • I'd like to be surprised with flowers and fancy chocolates.

ABSOLUTELY not a damn thing wrong with either, but I'd rather receive a book or two.. they last longer! Additionally, as chocolates go, keep 'em simple and boring! None of that coconut-creamy filling crap. Also, something different entirely: Game of Thrones Season 5 comes out on DVD in March.. available for pre-order! The gift that keeps on giving.

  • Treat me like a princess.

    TREAT ME LIKE A KHALEESI!!

Or just a normal human being. That's good, too.

  • I'd like to be showered in expensive gifts.
Honestly, I'm having trouble finding fault with this one...

Just kidding! If you're going to shower me in gifts, I like little cheap ones. For example, my sister wanted to know what to give me for Valentines Day. I requested a crap-load of new pens! I gotta thing for office supplies.

  • When the man of my dreams proposes, I want him to pick the perfect ring, just for me!

Finally, if there is ever a guy strange and unfortunate enough to want to marry me, he doesn't have to worry about selecting the perfect ring... I already did!

;)

But, I haven't been in a real relationship in years.. maybe now we all know why!

Happy Valentines Day everyone!

Love, Sarah
